Chinese market
Following President Xi’s State Visit, a UK-China agreement on offshore wind collaboration was signed. UKTI are leading on developing commercial ties between the two nations. The Chinese Government is about to announce its offshore wind targets for 2020. This revised target will send a clear signal to developers, most of whom are State Owned Enterprises, of the delivery expectations over the coming five years.
Taiwan market
Taiwan has significant offshore wind resources, and their Government has developed a programme that is expected to result in 4GW of installed capacity and over £12bn in business opportunies by 2030.
