Category: NewsThe Humber LEP Growth Hub along with the Skills Funding Agency held a Apprenticeship Funding Information event for local Businesses at the Mercure Hotel in Willerby East Yorkshire on Tuesday 15th March 2016.
The information session was to help local businesses understand what funding is available for businesses looking to take on apprentices.
The session started with an introduction from the Kishor Tailor, the Chief Executive of the Humber LEP. Bev Moxon from the Skills Funding Agency gave a presentation on how the National Apprenticeship Service (NAS) and how the service provided a free comprehensive advice for businesses who employ or are looking to employ apprentices.
There was also information on how the new Apprenticeship Levy will operate and which businesses will be require to pay the levy.
Julie Keen from Pink Marketing Jacket and Cheryl Smith for North Lincolnshire Council gave an employer perspective of employing an apprentice.
There was also a presentation from The Humber LEP Skills team and the Apprenticeship Ambassador Service.
The session conclude with a Q&A session.
