The Green Alley Award is Europe’s only award for entrepreneurs and start-ups working in the circular economy. Green entrepreneurs with ideas for a sustainable economy and new ways of looking at waste as a resource can apply for the award at www.green-alley-award.com until the 27th of July 2016. Both classic pitch decks and creative videos are accepted – the online application is quick and easy. The guidelines explain which contents start-ups can use to convince the jury and how to secure a place in the final.
International network of the circular economy
The third edition of the competition will remain international while focusing at the same time on Finland as a leading partner. At the end of October, the most convincing six start-ups will be invited to a one-day event with award ceremony in Berlin. There is no such thing as loosing: all of the finalists benefit from participation at the Green Alley Award by meeting international experts and mentors of the European circular economy and start-up scene. This is your chance to network with well-established businesses and other start-ups in the area of waste, recycling and environment and to gain practical tips that might come useful in the future. In a live-pitch of five minutes, start-ups present their business idea to an international audience. A jury of experts will then select the winner of the Green Alley Award 2016, who will be rewarded with a prize package of cash and services worth up to 30,000 Euros. Additionally, one has the chance for further financing through investment or crowdfunding.
Connecting green ideas- Berlin, London & Helsinki
The Green Alley Award was launched in 2014 by the Berlin circular economy investor Green Alley and the German crowdfunding pioneer Seedmatch. This year’s Award hunts for green entrepreneurs and start-ups meanwhile having a closer look on Finland. Therefore a new partnership with the European Recycling Platform (ERP) Finland has been established, ensuring additional support for the partners Bethnal Green Ventures, London’s tech for good accelerator as well as Seedmatch and Green Alley. We are searching for innovative products, services or technologies for the circular economy. All three entrepreneurial hubs, Berlin, Helsinki & London, represent the vibrant start-up scene in Europe. The aim of the Green Alley Award is to build a bridge between these three hubs and to promote a sustainable economy on a European level. You can apply to the Green Alley Award 2016 alongside entrepreneurs and start-ups from all over Germany, UK, Finland and Europe.
