Category: NewsGreenport Hull have a funded pathway to work scheme to help the longterm unemployed back into work. This is an opportuity for businesses to help people back into work at no cost to them. In return for offering a work placment they will get a motivated individual.
If the company employes the person after the work placement, Green Port funding offers the employer a 20% wage subsidy for the first year of the individual’s employment with them.
In its first year from the 80 candidates that started the programme 71 completed the 10 weeks and 49 moved into employment – that figure has risen to 67 into the 2nd year.
