Reflex Data design and install Enterprise Resource Management (ERM) software for the textiles industry and are currently the UK Market leader for this product. The company has undergone steady growth since they moved into a purpose built office premises in 2015 and they are now exploring ways to grow overseas sales; with a view to penetrating the USA market. Managing Director Jeremy Alcock contacted the Growth Hub Advisor for Hull in June 2018 to request support with creating an overseas marketing plan and strategy with a view to penetrating the U.S market, which lead to an initial meeting between the advisor and Jeremy. A full business needs diagnostic was conducted with Jeremy in this initial meeting, and a full discussion was had regards the company’s existing sales and marketing activities, and a weakness in the company’s overseas market knowledge was identified as a result of this. The advisor subsequently provided Jeremey with a suggested action plan to help tackle this barrier to overseas sales growth, and referred the company to the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) so that Jeremy could receive assistance in recruiting an overseas sales and marketing consultant with a specialism in the U.S.A textiles industry. Jeremy therefore went on to meet with Dan Houchen of EEN and as a result of this meeting, the company were able to identify and recruit a freelance international sales and marketing consultant with the requisite sector and geographical knowledge. As of late August 2018 the company were working up the sales and marketing strategy to penetrate the U.S.A market, and had received Growth Hub support to help make this happen.
