Category: NewsSmart Energy Greater Lincolnshire, a project led by North East Lincolnshire Council, plan to equip business with the energy efficiency knowledge that could help them to save money on their energy bills this winter.
As temperatures start to plummet and heating dials get cranked up, it’s no surprise that energy bills start to drastically increase. Smart Energy will be holding workshops to offer free and easy advice that could help businesses to become more energy efficient.
The workshops will be led by industry leading experts in energy and resource efficiency, University of Applied Sciences Trier’s Institut fur angewandtes Stroffstrommanagement (IfaS), who have worked with multi-national companies such as Continental, Procter and Gamble, Evonik to reduce their energy use.
Business will not only gain invaluable expert knowledge, but will be given a £500 free gift to go towards an energy saving product of their choice.
After the workshop, business will also be eligible for a free onsite audit and support from IfaS; who will specifically tailor the advice and report to the company needs.
Helen Norris, Programme Manager at Smart Energy Greater Lincolnshire, said that: “This is a great opportunity for businesses in the Greater Lincolnshire area to get free advice and support from leading industry experts, which would normally cost thousands of pounds. “
“We are offering this support to help business to become more energy efficient, which means that they not only make a saving on their energy bills in the long run, but reduce their carbon footprint too”
During the workshops IfaS will share the latest thinking on how your business can become more energy efficient in lights, insulation, boilers, solar panels and much more.
For larger energy saving projects, Smart Energy also offer grants to cover up to 38% of the cost of an energy saving project for larger businesses; depending on what the business would like to implement.
Smart Energy Greater Lincolnshire is a £9.2m project that has been partly funded by the European Regional Development Fund to help support business to save energy.
Two workshops will be held this September. One on the 4th September at E-Factor in Grimsby and another on the 3rd September in Scunthorpe at the 20:21 Visual Art Centre.
