A brand new programme designed to help ambitious businesses take their next steps to scale and grow at pace will be launched in the Humber in October.
The Humber Business Growth Hub’s new Scale-Up Business Development Programme has been designed to support established businesses that are ready to scale up their operations.
This exciting new programme – a specialist strand of the Growth Hub’s Business Growth Scheme – will provide tailored support to business owners, leaders and senior managers, that will include masterclasses, peer-to-peer board networks, “WOW” leadership events and one-to-one coaching support.
Delivered to small groups of delegates representing no more than 15 businesses, the Scale-Up Programme is recruiting for its first cohort now – enrolment and participation in the Programme is fully-funded and therefore completely free.
In order for businesses to find out more about this new initiative, two Business Breakfast Summits have been organised on both the north and south bank of the Humber.
The Scale-Up Humber Breakfast Summit is intended to be a thought-provoking event to explore and debate with Humber experts and business people and also hear how people in other areas are scaling-up their businesses.
The Business Breakfast Summit will provide practical solutions to some of the most common challenges ambitious businesses face in scaling their business. Delegates will have the opportunity to listen to the wisdom of experienced practitioners in their field and also network with like-minded business people whose businesses are ripe for scaling-up.
Kishor Tailor, Chief Executive of the Humber Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP), said: “We are thrilled to launch the Scale-Up Business Development Programme and support businesses who are ready to expand their operations.
“This event will be a fantastic opportunity to not only meet other regional businesses who are also seeking to scale-up, but to hear from those with the knowledge and experience to help you make this transition successfully.
“We are looking forward to meeting our first cohort of businesses and seeing how we can support them to turn their plans into reality.”
The event will include an introduction by Growth Hub Manager Jon Brunton, followed by a panel discussion and keynote talks on the following key considerations to make when scaling-up:
Scalable Strategy – How to building and implement a strategy with momentum
Finance – How to structure and finance your business for growth
The right team – How to build a team that fire on all cylinders
Leadership with Impact – How to spend more time taking your business forward and less time ‘fire fighting’
The Scale-Up Business Development Programme is a specialist strand of the Humber Business Growth Hub’s Business Growth Scheme, which is in turn part of the #GrowMySME Programme – a varied package of support for growth minded Small and Medium enterprises (SMEs). The Humber Business Growth Hub is operated by the Humber LEP and is part of the Government supported Growth Hub Network and is part-funded by the Government Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy and the European Regional Development Fund .
The first Breakfast Summit will take place on Friday, October 18 at the Hallmark Hotel Hull, North Ferriby between 8.00am and 10.30am.
The second Breakfast Summit, held on the south bank, will take place on Friday, October 25 at The Ropewalk, Barton upon Humber between 8.00am and 10.30am.
