Hull and East Yorkshire Local Enterprise Partnership (HEY LEP) is keen to encourage more SMEs across the region to join the UK Export Academy.

Delivered by the Department for Business and Trade and with already over 6,000 UK participating businesses to-date, the UK Export Academy targets those companies that are looking to either take their first steps into exporting or enter new markets.

The UK Export Academy offers mainly online sessions for both new and the more experienced exporter, covering sessions including the Essentials, Masterclasses and Sector and Market events, all of which are designed to give businesses the know-how to sell their products and services around the world with confidence.

The UK Export Academy complements the wider international trade support offer across the region, including in-depth export training programmes and import/export skills bootcamps offered by the Hull & Humber Chamber of Commerce, not to mention their full range of international trade services.

According to Andrew Finch, Trade Partnerships Manager at HEY LEP, “The UK Export Academy really can allay any fears that an SME might have around export and provides for wider access to a full range of export support services provided through the Department for Business and Trade and other regional export delivery partners”.
