Manufacturing businesses in Hull and East Yorkshire (HEY) wishing to be a part of Make UK’s National Manufacturing Day are being urged to sign up quickly to a full day of events, with limited places still available.
HEY Business, Growth & Skills Hub’s (HEY BGSH) Made Smarter programme is working with University of Hull and the Humber Innovation Support Programme team to provide a day of free activities in conjunction with National Manufacturing Day on Thursday 26 September.
It is part of a series of autumn workshop events co-ordinated by HEY BGSH.
The workshop programme looks to provide a practical introduction to industrial digital transformation; where the presentations will focus on real manufacturing processes and applications which can be taken away and implemented in the place of work.
The emphasis will be upon peer group activities aimed at sharing problems and issues in common, followed up with the sharing of solutions, and good practice.
The workshops will also provide an overview of potential funding and grant schemes which may assist businesses in addressing project implementation.
HEY Made Smarter Programme’s National Manufacturing Day will begin with ‘Innovation for Manufacturing Businesses’ from 8:30am to 12:30pm at Aura Innovation Centre at Bridgehead Business Park, Hessle, followed by an hour for photos, networking and a buffet lunch.
‘Data Management for Manufacturing Businesses’ will take place from 2 to 5pm, with the day concluding with an informal networking opportunity – ‘#WiredCurry for Manufacturing Businesses’ from 6 to 9:30pm at Bengal Pride on Chanterlands Avenue in Hull.
