About the HEY Growth Hub

The Growth Hub is an integral part of the the Hull and East Yorkshire Local Enterprise Partnership (HEY LEP). The LEP itself is a business-led partnership that provides the strategic leadership to drive the growth of the Hull and East Yorkshire economy for the benefit of the region’s community. The LEP provides direction and oversight of the skills, infrastructure and business environment in the region, and closely works with Government, the two regional local authorities, education & training providers, and the business community to make this happen.

About The Hull and East Yorkshire Business Growth Hub

The Growth Hub was founded on 01 April 2021 by the HEY LEP, as part of a government scheme which was aimed at simplifying the business support landscape for businesses. It used to be the Humber Growth Hub part of the Humber LEP but both were closed by the government to stop more then 1 LEP covering a region. The Growth Hub is now one of 38 across England that provides a one-stop-shop for businesses, and through our advisor team and our website, we pride ourselves on being able to help businesses with all manner of enquiries, from funding, to apprenticeship recruitment, to exporting, to innovation and business start up, and much more besides.

The Growth Hub is currently supported and funded by The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS), as well as the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) to deliver various business support schemes in to businesses of all sizes and sectors throughout the Hull and East Yorkshire region.

The Growth Hub covers the whole of the Hull and East Yorkshire region, which includes the city of Kingston-upon-Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire. To make sure that we can support businesses across all parts of this region, our advisors are employed by – and based with – the two regional local authorities: Hull City Council and East Riding of Yorkshire Council.

What does the Growth Hub Provide?

Business advisors – A dedicated team of Business Support advisors operating across the HEY region. The service is FREE of charge and they are able to help with all aspects of business support.

Online Signposting via this website – a signposted service designed to be a one stop shop to help a range of businesses from start-ups to established businesses find organisations which can help you grow your business. You can be signposted to funding opportunities including loans and grants, mentoring, and a range business support services. These are searchable directories under a number of categories including Start-ups, Established Business and Business in difficulty.

Events – details of current and future business events including seminars, trade missions, talks, networking and many more.

Training – details of business training opportunities in the HEY region to help develop your business and employees.
