Check if you can get legal aid
Find out if you're entitled to legal aid
Legal aid could help pay for legal advice, family mediation or representation in court or at a tribunal.
You’ll be asked general questions about your legal problem and your financial situation.
Youll only get guidance on whether or not you can get legal aid – you wont get a final decision.
You can only check for non-criminal (‘civil’) cases. If you’ve been charged with a crime, ask your solicitor or barrister if you are able to get legal aid.
If youre under 18, your eligibility for legal aid might depend on your parents or guardians income, depending on your problem.
