You can read the Data Protection Act 1998 – Fair Processing Notice for the DVSA before you start your practical driving test booking.
Fair processing notice for the DSA
The data controller for personal information collected by the DVSA is the Department for Transport (DfT). The DVSA is an executive agency of DfT and as such directly manages all personal information it collects and processes.

The DVSA may use the personal data you supply for the purposes of preventing or detecting crime and apprehending or prosecuting offenders.
