Register your boat with the UK coastguard using the Maritime and Coastguard Agency’s voluntary safety scheme (CG66)

Your details will be available to Maritime Rescue Co-ordination Centres (MRCCs) throughout the UK. This will give them the information they need to mount a search and rescue operation if you get into difficulty.

You need to update your details every 2 years.
