Employer Skills Survey for the Local Skills Improvement Plan
The Hull and East Yorkshire Local Enterprise Partnership (HEY LEP) and Hull & Humber Chamber of Commerce are surveying local employers about the skills needs of local businesses based in Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire, and how they can be met. The results of this survey will inform the LEP’s strategic skills planning and also inform the development of the Local Skills Improvement Plan for the region.

Customs Declaration Service exporter deadline extended
Exporters will have more time to move across to the Customs Declaration Service, HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) has announced.
Following consultation with the border industry, exporters will now have until 30 November 2023 to move across to the Customs Declaration Service (CDS), 8 months later than previously announced.
After 30 November 2023, businesses will need to use CDS to make export declarations for goods they send out of the UK, as they already do for import declarations.

Government Investment to shield schools from high energy bills and boost to budgets
£500m for energy efficiency upgrades in schools and colleges, and extra £2bn for schools next year to be split between mainstream schools and high needs .
