The University of Hull Hedgerows: Mapping the Gaps project seeks to identify suitable spaces, within existing hedgerows, for trees to be planted. This could help towards meeting government targets for afforestation, without the need for large, mono-crop plantations. Natural Environment Investment Readiness Fund
The Government has announced that organisations seeking
investment for nature projects to tackle climate change, create and restore
habitats, or improve water quality should apply for the second and final round
of the Natural Environment Investment Readiness Fund.
The fund will provide grants of up to £100,000 to
environmental groups, local authorities, businesses and other organisations to
help them develop nature projects in England to a point where they can attract
private investment.
Projects will be designed to provide a return on investment
by capturing the value of the
KeyFund Funding for cultural organisations (grant and loan)
KEyFund are a social investor based in Sheffield that provide blended finance (a mix of loans and grants) to enterprises that make a positive social impact.
Funds available
Through the Northern Cultural Regeneration Fund, they are providing access to investments of up to £150,000 where up to a third may be provided as a grant.
Loans can be used for capital or working capital, but,
grant funding can only be used for capital expenditure (equipment,

On 1 January 2022, there will be changes for businesses in Great Britain who import from the EU. There will also be changes for UK businesses who sell goods in the EU.
Businesses moving goods from the EU to Great Britain need to prepare for import control changes which will take effect from 1 January 2022.
Customs declarations on imports from the EU to Great Britain must be completed at the time you or your courier/freight forwarder bring them into GB. Pre-notification
