The region’s business community, together with interested residents, are invited to take part in a flagship COP 26 event as the Carbon Battle Bus visits Hull city centre.
The battle bus, which is travelling the whole of the UK as part of Planet Mark’s Zero Carbon Tour, is being brought to the region by the HEY LEP.
This whole day event, taking place on Monday 18 October at the Hull City Hall, will explore many of the topical and practical aspects of net-zero, decarbonisation

HEY LEP appoints members with a wealth of knowledge and experience to three key sub-Boards
The Hull and East Yorkshire Local Enterprise Partnership (HEY LEP) has made a number of appointments to its newly formed Business Support, Employment and Skills and Infrastructure sub-Boards.
The LEP announced the appointments following a successful recruitment campaign, where the LEP was overwhelmed by both the number and quality of applications received from individuals from a diverse field of sectors and organisations across the region.
All the Boards will first meet in October and thereafter on a bi-monthly basis and will start

Over the last few weeks, the HEY LEP has engaged with a range of partners and businesses, in order to highlight the benefits of international trade through export to the Hull and East Yorkshire and wider pan-Humber region.
We end the current series with an export compilation video which we hope will encourage more SMEs to engage in export.

Business start-ups in Hull can now apply for up to £5,000 grants
Hull City Council has launched a new grant scheme which will
deliver up to £5,000 for start-up businesses in the city.
The scheme, through
Government funding, will allow the council to help the local economy’s recovery
from the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic while supporting business formation
and growth.
It is aimed at new
Hull businesses formed or registered on or after March 11 2020. Most businesses
eligible for support are expected to receive grants of around £2,000, with a
maximum award of £5,000.

used for business
