Made Smarter: Funding set to boost ‘smart’ manufacturing across the Humber
The region’s manufacturers are set to benefit from a share of a £1.5m fund to support digital improvements in industry throughout the Humber.
The funding, part of the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) Made Smarter Adoption programme, will support businesses across the North of England and the West Midlands to adopt more digital technology – helping businesses to modernise, to make improvements to their operations, and to create more high-skilled jobs.

Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership are the Humber Growth Hubs cluster partners they In partnership with Biskit Ltd, are delivering free 90-minute online workshops looking at how you can maximise potential and achieve better outcomes for your business. The sessions run across various date in February and March, and cover areas such as: strategy and marketing; branding and website; identifying new markets and opportunities; barriers to growth; and customer relationships.

John Cracknell Youth Enterprise Bank (JCYEB) has decided to create a funding opportunity for young entrepreneurs . Young people aged 16 – 29 that live in Hull can apply for funding of up to £250 or up to £400. The application must reflect what the funding will be used for.Applicants must already have a mentor who is currently supporting them.

However, the Peer Networks Programme can support with these issues, as the cohort groups are built around businesses with “issues in common”, and so business owners can talk through their Covid and Brexit difficulties in a mutually supportive group chaired by an experienced facilitator
