The Humber LEP Business Growth Hub is seeking
to commission suppliers to deliver a Humber Peer Networks Programme.
Peer Networks is a national initiative funded by
the Department for Business, Environment and Industrial Strategy that is being
delivered locally through the Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) network and
their respective Growth Hubs. The
programme’s longer-term aims are focused on reducing the UK productivity gap by
helping business leaders find practical solutions to strategic and operational
challenges.

We have now closed our Covid-19 Recovery Grant Schemes to new Expressions of Interest (EOIs). This is because we have received more grant applications than we are able to offer grants to, since opening to applications at 11am on Tuesday 15th September. Demand has therefore been unprecedented.

Hull businesses offered new support to go green
Hull businesses are being
offered an exciting opportunity to become more energy efficient, thanks to a
new council-led scheme that launches today.
The Hull Business Energy Efficiency Scheme (HBEES) is a new project led by Hull
City Council and part-funded by the 2014 – 2020 European Regional Development
Fund Programme.
The scheme offers a whole host of measures that will assist businesses in
reducing their contribution to greenhouses gases, including the installation of
new technology, access to expertise and advice, as well as access to grant

Humber Social Enterprises Wanted – Free Support to Grow
The Humber LEP Business Growth Hub is looking for more of the region’s Social Enterprise to come forward and enrol onto its new pilot scheme of support designed specifically for the growth of not-for-profit organisations in the Humber region.
The Humber Social Enterprise Accelerator pilot (Humber SEA pilot) is currently supporting a number of social enterprises which have the potential to grow, create jobs and scale-up their work with their communities and groups of interest.
Delivered in partnership with Northbank Forum, the
University of Hull WRIPA (White rose industrial physics academy) Project
The aim of this new University of Hull project is to increase Graduate employment for Physics students from 55% to 85% over a course of 3 years by sourcing opportunities such as internships and Industry placements around the local Humber area.
The project which is funded by office for students predominantly focuses on skills gaps and using the funding pot to increase the skills of Physics students to make them more attractive to employers in the current job market. The

The Humber LEP is looking for a Workforce Development Business Advisor to join our existing team of Growth Hub Business Advisors; to work with employers across the Humber region to support them in developing their workforce.
The post holder will sit within the central Humber LEP Growth Hub team, and will provide specific advice to businesses in relation to workforce development, apprenticeship recruitment and industrial placements. You will also enhance the Growth Hub’s capacity by providing professional advice to the Growth

This funding forms part of the Humber LEP’s updated Coronavirus delivery plan – which sets out how the LEP will prioritise existing resources to work with our partners to help the Humber’s businesses and people through the next phase of the COVID-19 economic impact.
