Grants for North Lincolnshire Business to Encourage Visitors
Shop front investment in Kirton in Lindsey and Barrow upon Humber could see more visitors
North Lincolnshire Council is offering businesses in the conservation areas of Barrow and Kirton in Lindsey up to £7,500 to help improve their shop front to make them more attractive and appealing to visitors.
The money must be used to create a traditional shop front in line with the council’s Shop Front Design Guide – that offers helpful advice on how to create a traditional shop front.

St Hugh’s School is an outstanding special school for students between the ages of 11 and 19 years, who have a range of learning difficulties, including moderate and severe learning difficulties, autism spectrum disorders, profound and complex needs, in North Lincolnshire.
Principal Tracy Millard, has welcomed the support from The Careers and Enterprise Company, and wants to develop the support on offer with their new Enterprise Adviser partnered with the school.

£8m Local Growth Fund secured to help local businesses grow
£8m has been made available from the Local Growth Fund to support small and medium sized businesses in the Humber area to make capital investments and create jobs.
The funding was secured by the Humber Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) as part of its recent Growth Deal. The funding will be used to extend the LEP’s successful Growing the Humber grant programme which has already supported more than 300 businesses with £25m in grants and levered in almost £120m private investment.

Small to Medium sized manufacturers (SMEs) in the UK are being urged to take part in the next National Manufacturing Barometer, in order to help shape future Government policy and highlight current trends and opportunities.
The rallying call, made by organisers SWMAS and Economic Growth Solutions, is designed to increase the number of respondents from 270 to over 500 firms, making it one of the largest industrial surveys in the country.
