A £2.5 million package of awards for companies, individuals and academics to make travelling safer, quicker and more reliable has been announced by the government.
Transport Technology Research Innovation Grant (T-TRIG)
The Transport Technology Research Innovation Grant (T-TRIG) funds early-stage research projects into innovative ideas or concepts to help create a better transport system.
It is part of the Department for Transport’s Innovation Grant funding.
The purpose of the scheme is to:
reduce barriers to innovation and advance technology in transport
enable a better transport system
Free Travel Plans For North East Lincolnshire Businesses
North East Lincolnshire Council and their partners ENGIE have introduced a new transport scheme, to help Businesses and other organisations lower their costs and reduce their impact on the environment by easing congestion.
The travel planning service is fully funded by North East Lincolnshire Council and is available to any business, voluntary or community organisation within North East Lincolnshire.
Any business that develops a Business Travel Plan is eligible to apply for a Sustainable Travel Grant of up to £5,000 to implement
Government launches new Export Hub.
The Government has launched a new international trade hub for businesses.
The hub will help UK businesses access millions of pounds’ worth of potential overseas business. The hub gives practical advice, and signpost support to help them win lucrative contracts.
The site will act as a single digital destination for trade and investment, bringing together and connecting UK businesses, international buyers and international investors.
Whether businesses are new, occasional or frequent exporters, they will be able to take advantage of the new suite
Funding competition: technology solutions for society in India
Innovate UK is investing up to £1.6 million for projects that use cutting-edge solutions to enhance healthcare, clean technology and infrastructure in India.
The aim of this competition is to encourage innovative partnerships between the UK and India. Innovate UK and the Indian government are funding this competition, administered by the Newton Fund.
Projects should address one or more of the following societal challenges:
clean technology
affordable healthcare
electronic system design and manufacture (ESDM) technology solutions for urban, energy, healthcare, infrastructure, disaster management and environmental challenges
