What is the Here to Help campaign?
Here to Help aims to encourage micro and small food business
owners to find out about food regulations and get the support they need to
follow them. The campaign also aims to raise awareness amongst food businesses
that the FSA and their local authority are there to help them along their
business journey, with lots of advice and guidance available.

Trade show exhibitor grants to help Hull enterprises grow their business through export
The Export Growth Grant programme is
funded through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) and is being managed and
administered by The Hull and East Yorkshire Local Enterprise Partnership (HEY
LEP) on behalf of Hull City Council. The programme aims to provide revenue
grants to Hull-based exporters to support business growth through exporting to
new markets.
A 60:40 match-funded EGG award of a
maximum of £5,400 is available to eligible businesses that are looking to
exhibit at an international trade show, in order to engage with new markets

Leading engineering company Spencer Group is using an innovative new app to help support its employees’ wellbeing.
Hull-based Spencer Group is using the Hapstar app to enable employees to track their mental and physical health, set happiness actions, access support and resources and provide anonymous feedback.
The app does not hold any identifying information about the user and Spencer Group can use the data to gain a clearer understanding of its workforce’s wellbeing, identify and respond to trends.

Time for businesses to have a say on Hull
Following on from the successful Community Strategy survey for local residents, the council has now launched a questionnaire for local businesses to share their views.
This second survey, specifically created for business owners and entrepreneurs, asks what it’s like to run a business in the city, both the positive aspects and barriers, and how the city could better support local ventures.
Business and residents have just two weeks left to take part, before both surveys close on May 22.

US State Senators enjoy civic dinner with Lord Mayor following clean energy visit
Lord Mayor of Hull, Cllr Christine Randall, hosted a civic dinner at the Guildhall on Thursday 16 March, where guests included State Senators and representatives from the USA.
