Event Type: Workshop

About this event

What does a ‘growth mindset’ mean to your SME business? Is it changing the way you do things, finding new customers, being open to new markets, not resisting change, or something else? Could it even be employing a team that want to learn and develop?

Does your business have enough of ‘it’? If the answer is ‘no’, then Our ‘All of my staff have the ‘growth mindset’!’ workshop, part of the Foundations for Growth – Effective Workforce Management & Development Series, is for you.

The workshop will help you explore any gaps in your current business mindset, and create a plan to improve it, with simple and practical tips and ideas.

In this high impact 4-hour workshop, we look at:

• How to identify what your business needs today, and in the future

• How to undertake and implement skill needs and training needs analyses

• Where to go for skills support for the workforce (i.e., a look at funded programmes such as Skills bootcamps)

• How to develop and generate a powerful & positive culture of growth, ambition, and openness across the workforce

• Personal and professional development plans – what, why and how.

• Mentoring and buddying – why you should do it

This 4-hour workshop is ideal for leaders and managers of small businesses who already employ a team, or wish to employ a team in the near future. You might already know what gaps your team currently has, but are not sure how to fill them, or you have a strategy for growth and want to inspire a growth mindset in your business.

During the session, delegates have the opportunity to discuss their own business challenges, and identify their own growth mindset gaps, then create a plan of action to fill them, identifying what resources are available to support them.

Further opportunities exist for delegates to undertake a more detailed 4-hour 1:1 session.

The sessions will be delivered by Edward Ryder from Biskit Ltd.

Edward has over 25 years of business experience, and currently provides consultancy support to multiple high growth engineering, e-commerce and manufacturing companies across the UK.
