Food and drink is the UK’s largest manufacturing sector and is leading the way for the country’s exports, with international sales reaching record numbers in the first half of 2023, according to figures from the Food and Drink Federation (FDF).

However, food and drink businesses continue to face a changing regulatory environment post-Brexit, which is posing both challenges and opportunities. On the one hand, they are facing a new range of checks and processes this year under the UK government’s Border Target Operating Model. On the other hand, the UK’s new free trade agreements could open up new export markets.

In a free webinar hosted by the Institute of Export & International Trade in partnership with key sector bodies, a panel of experts and business leaders in the industry will give an overview of the trade challenges and opportunities that are ahead in 2024.
