Made Smarter is a government funded programme to drive growth amongst UK manufacturers via increased adoption of industrial digital technology. Made Smarter was formed following a nationwide review into UK manufacturing that recommended more innovation in developing new technologies and a faster implementation and adoption of those technologies. Made Smarter will boost the digital skills of industry leaders, bringing businesses and research development together to develop new technology, and helping makers embrace new digital tools.

• Digital Roadmaps – a bespoke digital transformation audit and roadmap for your business.
• Capital Expenditure (Capex) & Intensive Technology (ITG) grants – match funded grants to contribute towards the capital costs of new digital solutions such as specialist hardware and software.
• Leading Digital Transformation – management development training that equips business leaders and digital champions with the skills they need to drive digital transformation in their firms. 
• Digital Internships – 3 month funded graduate / post graduate placement within the business to support digital adoption projects
• Industry 4: 0 Workshops – local free workshops aimed at demystifying industry 4;0 tools and digital solutions

Eligibility Information 

To access the Made Smarter, a business must:

• Be a manufacturing business (based on SIC code)
• Must meet the definition of an SME
• Must have a trading address within Hull & East Yorkshire
