HEY Workforce Development Advisory Service

The HEY Growth Hub offers a free and impartial workforce advisory service to any employer in Hull and East Yorkshire. The Workforce Development Business Advisor drives forward the economic and strategic growth plan for the HEY region. 

Providing individualised support and undertaking a full business needs analysis diagnostic across all aspects of the business to identify areas of support for future development. They promote and raise awareness of latest funding initiatives available to support the economic growth and development of existing businesses and new enterprises and lead on the development of business networking events and attend various working groups as part of the wider skills agenda.

Advice and guidance is offered on:
    •    Recruiting apprentices
    •    Apprenticeship funding including use of apprenticeship levy and levy transfer
    •    Development of new apprenticeship standards
    •    Industrial placements including T-Level placements, traineeships and work experience
    •    Internships and Supported Internships
    •    Skills Bootcamps
    •    Funding to help develop the skills of your existing workforce
    •    Funding to help you recruit and train new talent
    •    Employing staff with disabilities or learning difficulties
    •    Workforce health & wellbeing

The HEY Workforce Development Business Advisor works closely with further education providers, higher education institutions, independent training providers and employability support programmes ensuring that local skills requirements are fed into the education and training system and are responded to.
