This webinar is the first of a three-part series designed for sellers who are new to Amazon. In this opening session, Vendor vs Seller: Getting Started on Amazon.co.uk, we will explore the two business models and help attendees understand the key differences between them.

Attendees will hear directly from representatives of the world’s most successful marketplace, alongside a UK business that sells as a vendor in Europe and as a seller in the US, offering practical insight into the advantages of each approach and helping businesses decide which model is the best fit for their goals.

Tom is a commercially driven FMCG eCommerce leader with over 10 years’ experience across Category Management, Supply Chain, and Traditional, eCommerce, and Omni-channel Sales.

He has led major customer partnerships, including Asda for Ferrero and then Reckitt, before transitioning into Head of eGrocery at Reckitt. There, he developed and implemented an omni-channel strategy spanning Content, Media, and On-Demand solutions.

Tom later took on a Pan-Eu lead role for Amazon, overseeing the Vendor Central relationship while ensuring alignment with Seller Central operations.

Now Head of Global eCommerce at Faith in Nature, a purpose-led personal care brand, Tom focuses on driving strategic market expansion and sustainable growth through a range of commercial levers and strategies.

Daisy Blaker

Strategic Partner Manager, Amazon Global Selling

Daisy is a Sales & Account Management leader with four years' experience at Amazon, spanning the Global Selling and Marketplace teams. She specialises in helping businesses expand their ecommerce operations internationally, from identifying high-growth startups to scaling enterprise sellers across EMEA and the US through tailored marketplace strategies. She works closely with UK Public Policy and the Department for Business and Trade to educate businesses on the opportunities of international ecommerce, advocating for SMEs looking to export and grow globally.

Chris Lawlor

Ecommerce Director, Big Potato Games

Chris leads Big Potato’s global ecommerce department. He has worked with Amazon for over 13 years, landing #1 best sellers in three different businesses in 10 categories.

Big Potato Games is an independent, B-Corp Certified, UK-based board game publisher, founded in 2013. Its portfolio includes a number of bestselling social and family games, such as Herd Mentality. Big Potato Games operates across direct-to-consumer and major retail channels, with distribution spanning the UK, US and international markets. Their games are available in all major retailers and supermarkets in the UK and US.

Global Digital Commerce & Marketplace Lead, DBT

Lucy Haine is the Global Digital commerce and marketplace lead at the Department for Business and Trade, managing multiple marketplace relationships including Amazon. Lucy supports UK companies in developing their digital strategy and capability. With an industry background, Lucy worked in senior leadership teams for UK High Street Retail brands including M&S, Debenhams and Monsoon Accessorize, focused on International multi-channel expansion.
