The Art of the Possible: An Insight into Modern Work Experience

Business engagement with local schools and young people plays a vital role in helping students develop the skills, knowledge and aspirations they need for their future careers.

As you may be aware, schools and colleges are currently preparing for new expectations around work experience, with all students from Years 7–11 expected to participate in a minimum of 50 hours of meaningful workplace experiences. This presents an exciting opportunity for employers to engage with young people in new and innovative ways.

We would be delighted to invite you to The Art of the Possible: An Insight into Modern Work Experience, taking place on Wednesday 16 September, 9.00am–1.30pm at the Yorkshire Air Museum, Elvington, York.

At this event, you will:

  • Gain insight into the evolving landscape of work experience.
  • Explore practical and flexible ways your organisation can support young people.
  • Listen to young people from across the region share their perspectives on the importance of work experience.
  • Hear examples of innovative employer engagement activities already making an impact.
  • Network with businesses and education partners from across both Hull & East Yorkshire and York & North Yorkshire

We hope you can join us for what promises to be an inspiring and informative event. Please feel free to share this invitation with colleagues, partners and organisations within your wider network or supply chain who may be interested in supporting the next generation of talent.
